whiteness of the walls whiter
windows bare curtains drawn
floral prints falling in drapes
two pigeons on the sill
heads tucked
...dozing....
whirring of fans
from the other room
soft
a few
spells
to live tor
on the other side
must have been
quiet too
stealthy
starry
still
night
to die for....?

Lovely words, lovely images ... and a touch of mystery in the way this one ends.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rosemary
ReplyDeletei like the "lazy" format of the poem. sparse words and lines. really evoke images of a day better spent doing nothing. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much.
ReplyDeleteI love the format of this poem, and the intrigue.
