Where silence speaks, words intrigue infinity and thoughts travel light years to invade the mind cells wherein simmers a volcano of ideas and images juggling to burst forth into an intricate filigree of patterns and designs, complex in its simplicity and bizarre in its mundane echoes.

Flash Poem : Distortion
Dreams dive unto the night. Distorted imageries, fragments of fiction that never was. Never will be. I have walked million miles with the moon to reach out to you, to your universe of blissful songs. Perhaps you will wake up to my despondence. Not once but everytime I cry out for you. Hold me into your embrace of stars. But you have only echoed the silences making me believe once again that there never was and there never will be.

DeleteSad and moving. Maybe a tale of unrequited love.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rall
DeleteHow well you have expressed a distance that is cold and uncaring.
ReplyDeleteThank you Penelope
DeleteThat's a terrific example of a flash poem!
ReplyDeleteIt might be a longing for the love of a particular person, but I 'hear' it as the yearning for connection with God, and the doubts that arise in us as to whether God even exists.
Oh so beautifully written Unrequited love is heart breaking
ReplyDeleteThat was gorgeous!

Delete"Hold me into your embrace of stars." - this phrase stood out for me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your appreciation.
DeleteDon't we wish our wishes could come true. I've liked this picture since I saw it previously. Thank you for showing it and writing to it.
ReplyDeleteNow to your lizard in the house. We also get them, they come in when we go out. So we put them back out.
Take a glass in your hand upside down. Maneuver it so that you can cover the Lizard under the glass and slide a firm piece of cardboard under its feet. Carry the lizard, glass, and cardboard outside and let it out. It will escadle away.
Thanks Jim but I am so afraid of creepy crawly things I don't know whether I will have that much courage to let it out.
Delete""Hold me into your embrace of stars." This is deeply moving.
ReplyDeleteThank you ๐๐
